Last weekend, it being December now, it was deemed time to visit Santa’s grotto.
We were invited to visit the grotto at Birmingham museum and art gallery grotto so the timing was perfect.
With a whole room to itself, the snow effect and twinkling lights made for a very convincing grotto for Lilly and Lucas. We were greeted by one of Santa’s helpers and Santa’s helper lead the children down an illuminated path to the the grotto entrance (a spacious gazebo) where both Father Christmas and his official photographer were waiting for us. Father Christmas was a wonderfully friendly and talkative man who spent a good amount of time interacting with both children before they joined him on his leather Chesterfield for the obligatory photo.
Sadly my photos don’t really do justice to just how pretty the room was decorated but it was lovely, very magical with all the fairy…
