The Alchemist arrives in Birmingham
In September, The Alchemist bar & restaurant will open its doors to Brummie food and cocktail-lovers for the first time since the brand was born five years ago.
The new venue, which is part of the Living Ventures group, has announced that its newest cocktail bar and dining destination will open on Colmore Row, right in the heart of Birmingham’s business district.
The Alchemist bar & restaurant, who are a national living wage for all company, are hoping to recruit around 60 new team members for the city’s venue. They will undergo an intense 2 week training program to perfect the extensive drink and food menus that The Alchemist has to offer.
Simon Potts, managing director of The Alchemist, said: “Ensuring that we recruit passionate team members is an extremely important part of our business.”
“We thrive on giving our customers a great experience and our team members play an integral part in helping our brand to deliver this. Being in the Midlands right now is extremely exciting, and I’m glad that we can be a part of the regeneration process, the opening of our new venue will offer up to 60 jobs to local talent here in Birmingham.”
The popular destination, which is often distinguished by its stylish yet inviting interiors already has 5 venues across the UK, including two in Manchester, two in Leeds, one in London and a sixth due to open in Liverpool in August.
Birmingham guests will be able to experience the alchemy and craftsmanship that The Alchemist will bring to the city, along with varied food offering served morning, noon and night.
Simon adds: “Birmingham has been on our radar for a while now and we have been waiting for the perfect venue.
We are excited to be bringing our dynamic and theatrical offering to this district of the city centre. We will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so Colmore Row will be a perfect location for both business meetings and the discerning drinker.”
