Kingfisher kicks off health campaign with fruit giveaway

Kingfisher Shopping Centre will be going bananas this week as it kicks off its health and fitness campaign with a giveaway of free fruit for shoppers.

Visitors can claim their free piece of fruit from the Centre’s Customer Service Desk in Worcester Square between until Saturday 13 February, with shoppers also encouraged to ditch an unhealthy snack in exchange for an additional piece of fruit.

A selection of the Centre’s retailers will be offering lifestyle advice and support to shoppers, including health checkups and advice on how to stop smoking from Boots.

Pure Gym will be in Worcester Square giving gym demonstrations while Marks and Spencer and Nando’s will be handing out a range of healthy snacks.

Weightwatchers, Emma Charlotte’s Dance School, The Redditch Mental Health Action Group and The Alzheimers Association will also be in the Centre helping locals to get fit and healthy.

Ken Williams, General Manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “With January out of the way, we know many New Year’s resolutions may have fallen by the wayside – we want to help shoppers get back on track and encourage them to kick start a new health regime.

“We have lots of different retailers at the Centre who can help and advise locals on a healthy lifestyle – this campaign will show shoppers just some of what we have to offer to help them do just that.”
