Gospel Christmas Concert comes to Birmingham Town Hall

Birmingham Town Hall’s resident gospel choir returns to the stage in December to perform its popular Christmas concert.

For one night only, on Monday 7th December, the award winning Town Hall Gospel Choir (THGC), led by choir director Colin Anderson, will be getting the audience into the Christmas spirit with a special performance of traditional gospel songs, with a festive twist.

Songs will include ‘There’s no Christmas without you’, ‘It came upon a midnight clear’, ‘Mary did you know’, ‘Bethlehem Morning’ and ‘Rise up shepherd’, as well as ‘Jesus paid it all’, which helped the choir win Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year in 2013.

As an added bonus, THGC will be supported by special guests Faith Tucker and Seth Pinnock.

Faith is a classically trained soloist and dancer who, despite only being 15 years old, has performed in front of sell-out crowds and has appeared on national TV. In 2014, she sang ‘Nessun Dorma’ at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham and was a contestant on Sky’s Got to Dance with Davina McCall.

Birmingham-born Seth fronts Christian band ‘A New Thing’ (ANT), which has supported Grammy nominated artists and toured around Europe.

The Christmas concert will be held at Birmingham Town Hall from 7.30pm. Tickets cost from £15 and are available from the Town Hall box office or by visiting thsh.co.uk
