Wonders of the World come to Birmingham

The build-up for Brick 2015 continues and the show is set to bring the Wonders of the World to Birmingham’s NEC from 29th October to the 1st November – LEGO style!

Some of the most iconic sites from across the globe have beed recreated in LEGO form, showcasing the incredible versatility of everyone’s favourite bricks.

The seven Wonders have all been designed and built by Warren Elsmore for his book Brick Wonders and include the likes of the Ruins of Petra, made famous in movies such as Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and The Mummy Returns.

Warren has been a fan of LEGO since the age of four and Brick Wonders is his fourth book. He’s also find brick-based recreations of the Great Wall of China, Stonehenge and the Grand Canyon as well as constructing a section of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

“This collection came out of a desire to explore the history of the world – but in LEGO scale. Its been a labour of love because of the sheer scale of some of the builds but I am thrilled with the results.”

From ancient icons such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon through to modern masterpieces like BRICKPort, the biggest airport to be created in LEGO, BRICK 2015 will bring a Wonders of the World under one roof and will be a must-see for LEGO fans.
