Anthony Duffy and Craig Essex from the Big Papa’s kitchen takeover of The Sunflower Lounge has finished as they are moving to a new venue – their own bar!
They say “We are extremely excited to share our brand new Mockingbird Bar & Bistro with you guys. You can expect an exciting, fresh, seasonal bistro with a keen focus on using locally sourced produce.
“Our head chef has worked in some fantastic kitchens including Purnell’s and is very eager for you to taste his ideas. You may also expect a unique and carefully designed craft beer and cocktail menu, taking influence from small cocktail bars in Harlem.
“The key objective and focus for the Mockingbird is to push the smaller, independently crafted drinks,championing the local breweries. As well as our exciting food and drink, we will be offering a truly unique and eye catching interior married with a relaxing atmosphere.”
I’ll be going along on Thursday 6 August to the launch party so will report back soon.
