#BrumIndependentsDay
On Saturday 4th July, while America celebrates its Independence Day, BrumHour invites you to share #BrumIndependentsDay across social media and support your local businesses.
Dave Massey from BrumHour (That’s me) said “I’ve seen businesses across the UK take part in Small Business Saturday in previous years and I wanted to do a version we could do in Birmingham.

“Tell your friends, work colleges, business contacts, and use your social media voice to highlight great Independent businesses in and around Birmingham.
“While is obvious that Brummies love their Independent food and drink venues. We also have many other types of indie business that we can champion. Talk about your friends business or someone in your street or suburb or even across town!
“On the day itself join in using #BrumIndependentsDay on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!”

Saturday 4th of July also happens to be the 2nd day of Colmore Food Festival which will run from 3rd-4th July in Victoria Square right outside Birmingham Council House. The two-day festival will feature a whole bunch of independent business from the Colmore Business District including:
and Opus.
