Delivered by Wild in Art and Birmingham Children’s HospitalThe Big Hoot 2015 is an urban art project taking place across the Birmingham region for 10 weeks in the summer of 2015! (Date to be announced but I’ll amend this when I’ve found out!)

I was invited to KPMG‘s 11th floor at Number One Snow Hill, Birmingham to preview the designs for the owls.

Each business that had invested had the chance to come and select an owl from over 100 designs submitted by artists! There were some pretty great ones too!

Considering how excited I was to be there I’m being rather calm with my blog so far but I turned up early and found myself in one of those super modern lifts without any blooming buttons in! There were four completed owls on display and they each stand at 165cm which is five foot five in old money.

I’d first heard about the project in 2014 and heard it would be a huge urban art project designed to create a lot of excitement!

There will be 200 smaller owlets crafted by students and teachers across Birmingham for the The Little Hoot.

You will be able to look for the owls across Birmingham over the Summer of 2015 so look out for the routes and locations soon! Many Thanks to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for inviting me!
